Summer of Sport Quiz 2010
The 2010 edition of Summer of Sport is now available. You can download a copy from here. Closing date for entries is May 9th.
August 25th - Quiz
Come and pit your wits against Rita's fiendish questions and see if you can take the title off the Forrest family. Plenty of food and beer available.
July 25th - Beer Festival
This year's beer festival will take place on July 25th at the club. Tickets are £10 and will entitle you to 4 half pints of Rebellion beer and food from the BBQ. Tickets available from Veggie, Bert Simon, Fat Boy or Ringo. Family and friends welcome for what is a great event every year.
June 20th - Summer Barbecue
Make sure you get ahead of DW in the queue at the Summer barbecue scheduled for June 20th. More details to follow but a bountiful supply of burgers, sauages, salad and Rebellion is sure to be involved. Vegetarians need not apply.
Bosh takes the 2009 poker title
Congratulations to Derek Lewies who cleaned up at the annual Hurley Cricket Club poker tournament. The title was contested by 11 players, powered by a fine chilli from Veggie. The field soon thinned out to leave three remaining, Mike Walton, Derek (Bosh) Lewies and Darryn (Fatboy) Wright. With the two South Africans holding the majority of the chips, MW was soon eliminated leaving the big boys to battle it out for the honours. After a couple of swings in fortune it was Lewies who walked away with the title and first prize.
Thanks to Veggie for organising and to all those who attended the social and helped raise some much needed funds towards new ground equipment.
