Hurley Youth Cricket Programme
A WARM WELCOME TO ALL
We welcome children of all abilities and backgrounds, boys and girls, from 5 to 15 in our youth coaching programme. Hurley is a friendly club, close to Maidenhead, Marlow and Henley with an emphasis on making the learning of cricket enjoyable and safe. Hurley Cricket Club has been identified as a Focus Club by Berkshire Cricket in recognition of the club's work, putting in place a structured and safe youth cricket programme. We were awarded the ECB's Clubmark accreditation that recognises safe, effective and child friendly practices within clubs originally in June 2010, which has recently been recertified in 2021.
2022 INDOOR TRAINING
Our indoor coaching programme is available for our two U15s Groups – Panthers and Lions. These will run from Sunday 27th February between 4-6pm at St. Piran’s School, Maidenhead for six weeks through till 3rd April, at a cost of £5 per session.
2022 OUTDOOR TRAINING
Outdoor training will take place on Sunday mornings for all U15s age groups from Sunday 17th April, weather permitting. All Star/Dynamo programme will commence in May.

MEMBERSHIP + PRIORITY REGISTRATION
Annual membership covers all outdoor coaching (Sunday 17th April – Sunday 31st July), use of the club kit and facilities as well as match fees for any colts games.
- £50 All Star/ Cricket Dynamos Programme (School years 1 to 5)
- £70 Junior (School year 6 and above)
- £130 Junior Family (up to 2 children)
Priority registration for squad places will be held open for 2021 members until Sunday May 1st and then new members will be able to sign up. Youth Membership Form
JUNIOR COACHES
Hurley is lucky enough to have an ECB qualified coach and a pool of other coaches and support team, helping out as part of the Youth Programme. As part of the coaches' qualifications, they have all passed a CRB/DBS check.

KIT, PERSONAL PROTECTION AND INSURANCE
The colts membership fee includes colts being able to make use of bats, protective equipment and helmets with faceguards. Helmets with faceguards must be worn when batting and also standing up to the stumps keeping wicket against a hard cricket ball. Colts are asked to take care of equipment loaned to them by the club and parents and guardians should be aware that Hurley Cricket Club is not insured for any item of personal equipment which is lost or stolen.
CHILD WELFARE OFFICER
Hurley Cricket Club is affiliated to the Berkshire Cricket Council and thereby to the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). The club is therefore bound by the requirements of the ECB and has a named Child Welfare Officer, Lorraine Skelton.
